American Style Magnet Trains

I had a friend comment about why all of the kids magnet type of toy trains were modeled after those in the UK and EU. We found some for Christmas that look (more or less) 100% American.

The steam engine is pretty good, but the big diesel electric is definitely 100% USA and ready to kick some tank engine butt. (all made in china of course).

They are Imaginarium brand from Target. See Pix.

















BTW, they are running on our Step 2 train table with integral track.

Egg Nog Season

Some like the Dairy Nog, others Holiday Nog. This season, I am recommending Dean's 2% Egg Nog. Not too heavy and none of that artificial flavor.

Applebees

Does anyone really like Applebees? My choices for a late night snack around here are pretty much limited to Perkins, Applebees or the Flameburger. They don't have beer at Flameburger (at least it's not on the Menu. They have an ok sirloin for under $10. Other than that ????? We just had really marginal appetizers. I though you really couldn't screw up appetizers? I was wrong.

Paul Rogers and Queen

Heard the new track C-lebrity on KQRS about 10 minutes ago. Found the YouTube 3 minutes ago. The song clearly states what is bad about today's fame for the sake of fame. The classic rock style has still got it.



. . . and that's the way it was and we liked it that way!
