Sanctuary - My new favorite Sci Fi Show

If you are looking for new Sci Fi / Monster fodder, check out the new SciFi Channel show Sanctuary. It stars ( and is exec produced by ) Amanda Tapping of Stargate SG-1.

I almost buy her new accent acquired for the show. The supporting cast was pretty sketchy in the first episode, but is coming up to speed.

Watch the premier and follow up episodes now online.

A good general premise (save the monsters, save the world ), a shadowy nemesis organization revealed in episode 2 and lots of creepy but personable creatures.

Neanderthal man (the guy from the Geico commercial ?? ) stars as the butler. Look for other BSG and SciFi show crossovers cast in supporting roles.

Shot just about 100% on blue screen with good quality digital scenery.

  1. Matt!

Nice blog. I'm kinda sorta starting to do some blogging as well. Just can't find the time. Especially when there's quality TV to watch! I've been watching Sanctuary as well; initially interested since I like Amanda Tapping from SG1 and Atlantis. Very cool show; definitely gotta set the DVR to make sure I don't miss any.
I bought Season 1 of Heroes from Amazon Unbox for $5 the other day, and Kim and I sat down and watched the first 3 episodes last night (after putting the kids to bed). We're hooked. Never had a chance to watch it on TV, but with the availability of lots of shows either online or on DVD, it seems like there's too much to watch. I still haven't finished seasons 8, 9 and 10 of SG1. And the last disc of Firefly.
Oh well, I may have to become a couch potato or something.
    I'll be bookmarking your blog!
